The major sights of the town of 60,000 inhabitants are the old town, the castle and the zoo. The festival called VeszprémFest, famous around Europe, hosts world renowned performers. Furthermore, the Street Music Festival, which lasts almost a week, entertains the audience every July with 5-10 bands appearing at the same time on stages all along the main pedestrian street of the town.
